Jonn Serrie’s Sunday Morning to Help Raise Money for Autism Research

Lawrenceville, GA, Nov. 29, Jonn Serrie announced that a portion of the proceeds of his 16th CD Sunday Morning will be donated to autism research.

Long recognized for his ambient space and elegant romantic music, Jonn Serrie has worked on projects with George Lucas, IMAX, NASA, and the United States Navy Blue Angels and has music featured in the movie, “What the Bleep Do We Know?”

In launching this new CD, Mr. Serrie stated, “I was very touched by David Kirby’s book, Evidence of Harm, and how difficult living with autism spectrum disorder is for both the individual and the family.  I felt inspired to offer music that provides a relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere.  I am honored to contribute a portion of the proceeds of the sale of this CD to the Autism Society of America for research in therapeutic interventions.”

Autism Spectrum Disorders, once rarely seen now affects 1 in 166.  The ASA (www.autism-society.org )  is the oldest and largest of the autism advocacy organizations and has focused its efforts on addressing issues across the lifespan. “The Autism Society of America thanks John Serrie for his support and appreciates his generosity,” said ASA President & CEO Lee Grossman.

Spending much of the summer and fall in his studio, Jonn Serrie joined forces with long- time autism advocate Beth Clay to produce Sunday Morning. Ms. Clay commented, “In Sunday Morning, Jonn Serrie has masterfully brought forth music that can bring calm and peace where stress, chaos and agitation have reigned.  While designed for the autism community, this CD will benefit everyone experiencing stress.”

Sunday Morning is available for purchase online at www.jonnserrie.net or www.bethclay.com.
